Darren Shorter is a 2021 SS/2B, 3B with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Irvine, CA who attends Northwood. Medium slender frame with plenty of room to fill out as he develops. Primary infielder, glove works well to both sides, uses long strides into the hole as well as up the middle. Is very consistent and clean with routine plays. Very meticulous with his glove work. At the plate, uses a wide and slightly crouched stance with a higher handset and simple stride trigger. At his best when he's able to keep his hands inside the baseball. Flat barrel plane with a middle to opposite field approach. Consistent with his mechanics.
