Sam Coleman is a 2024 C/3B/UT with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends All Saints Episcopal. Strong physical prototypical catcher's build. 7.25 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has quick lower half actions that work well with his blocking and side to side agility, gains ground well throwing, good arm strength and makes accurate throws, stood out defensively in the games with his blocking and receiving. Also played the outfield and showed good fundamentals and plenty of athleticism for that position as well. Right handed hitter, hits from a very spread stance with a rock back load, pull and lift approach with plenty of strength in his swing, full effort creating bat speed, can put a charge in the ball when he's squared up and did so in the games with a no doubt home run. Defense ahead of offense at this point but obviously has the strength/power to continue to grow offensively. Excellent student.
