Anden Oviedo is a 2025 SS/2B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Shawnee Mission South. Solid athletic frame. Ran a 7.37 60-yard dash. Middle infielder with footwork direct to the baseball, glove actions and feet work through the baseball, average lateral range, big effort on throws across with arm strength and developing accuracy. Hit from a square stance with load stride timing. Level bat path through the zone, some connectivity to the swing with a gap to gap approach and blend of strength and quickness. Also hopped on the mound and showed two pitches out of a three-quarter slot with a clean arm action. Fastball topped at 82 with some burst up in the zone and the curve showed a sweeping 10-6 shape breaking across the zone. Some two-way potential. Named to Sunshine Midwest Top Prospect List. Excellent Student.
