Jerry Burkett II is a 2020 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Hattiesburg, MS who attends Hattiesburg. Flashed a large to extra large frame with a lean, lanky build showing long limbs with plenty of room to fill down the road. Ran a 7.01 second sixty yard dash. Primary Lefthanded pitcher working with a high leg kick with weight on backside before striding out and delivering with an open chest. Fluid, easy arm action with a compact arm circle in the back before delivering from a high three-quarter slot. Filled up the strikezone with a nice three pitch mix. Good job of holding runners on with a crafty pick off move. Projectable makeup and tool set on the mound. Secondary Outfielder showing confidence with routes moving well into the baseball. Quick feet with good reads before showing a clean gather. Whippy arm action showing carry on the throws with accuracy to the bags. Lefthanded hitter staring with a square stance and low hands. Longer swing path looking to drive the baseball the other way. Created loud contact when squared up. Power showing as well at times. Good Student.
