Gabe Coats is a 2021 OF/C with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Kenly, NC who attends North Johnston. Taller build with a high waist and slender frame with projection remaining. Ran a 7.59 in the sixty yard dash. A primary outfielder, quick feet and taking short steps on the approach as he takes good angles and makes sure he is in line. Matched his exchange and got extension on the throws allowing him to repeat his release and throw accurately to the bases. A right-handed hitter, starts narrow and slightly open with his base using a knee to knee trigger. Gets on plane and has quicker hips, good length in the zone with the barrel with solid eye-hand coordination as he worked the middle of the field. Outstanding student.
