Al Mosca is a 2021 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Old Tappan, NJ who attends Northern Valley Regional. Recorded a 7.59 second sixty-yard dash time. Smaller, compact build with some present strength and plenty of time to physically mature. Primary left-handed pitcher; forty-five degree start with smooth, rhythmic delivery and efficient movements down the slope. Works from a clean three-quarters delivery with smooth arm action and good direction on the backside. Fastball worked in the low-70s for the most part, topping out at 74 miles per hour and flashing natural arm-side life to the outer third of the plate. Strike thrower with ability to command the outer third with both fastball and developing curveball. Curveball flashes 1-7 shape with loose spin and the ability to land for strikes. Left-handed hitter that hits from an even stance with low hand set and a negative leg kick trigger. Middle-to-opposite field approach with elongated swing path and early extension out in front. Developing feel for the barrel that will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments. Excellent Student.
