Taylor Branch is a 2021 OF/RHP/MIF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Burleson, TX who attends Burleson. Medium wiry build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a high hand start, body tends to get ahead of his hands in his swing, loose extended swing with some lift out front when he's on time, gap to gap approach, bat speed will keep improving with additional strength. 7.64 runner, has athletic actions in the outfield and moves through the ball well, good glove at the ball, over the top arm action helps create carry and accuracy. Also plays the infield but is more advanced in his footwork and fundamentals in the outfield. Took a turn on the mound, high leg lift delivery with good direction down the mound, clean arm action from a mid 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, mostly straight but gets good plane on the pitch and works the bottom of the zone well. Short slider he commanded well in the zone as well and that he could use more. Good student.
