Jake Devalk is a 2023 3B/RHP, C, MIF, OF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Fairhope, AL who attends Bayside Academy. Recorded a 7.45 second 60-yard dash time. Taller frame with well-proportioned strength and room for more. Primary third baseman with a longer arm swing and longer gather. Good accuracy with a very good arm across recorded up to 91 mph. Solid athleticism and maintains on the charge nicely. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a slow leg lift to the belt and quicker down the mound. Good arm speed with good extension and angle. Lands online with good timing on the arm stroke. Good fastball quality and pounds the outer half. Good feel for the breaking ball with hammer shape and depth. Flashed a changeup with fade. Right-handed hitter with a hanging leg lift trigger and a slight hand drop. Smoothness to the barrel plane with a flatter path and gets on top of the ball well. Length through the hitting zone with strength off the barrel. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
