Seth Barden is a 2022 1B/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Bishop Gorman. Large frame showing strength in the build currently and ability to tap that strength in his actions. 8.11 60-yd. 1B/Pitcher profile able to flash two-way skills. As first-baseman worked the bag well utilizing his strong footwork to make plays and show fair range. Soft and smooth actions in the glove and arm strength is evident for the position. Also pitched, side step moving into delivery, high leg lift up past belt, slight gather on the backside before coming down mound, quick arm through back and gets to a lower three-quarters release point, works across body at release. Struck out three in his two innings of work, living in the low-80s and topped out at 83 mph, repeats well and shows fluidity to entire operation on the mound. Offensively, starts upright and more narrow on an even base keeping hands high by the back ear. Ball consistently jumped off the bat as he was able to get into the firm front leg and produce future raw power. Showed feel for the barrel as well being able to work the ball to all parts of the field. Good student. Named to West Coast Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
