McDonald McCommons is a 2022 C/OF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Greensboro, GA who attends Lake Oconee Academy Charter. Recorded a 7.24 second sixty-yard dash. Large, athletic frame with present strength throughout. Primary catcher, stays low and explodes through throw. Slight hitch in arm action but pure arm strength makes up for it, good carry-on throws with accuracy to bag. Throws up to 82mph from behind the dish with a 2.03 pop time. Secondary outfielder, very aggressive and attacks the ball, gets everything behind his throws, up to 91mph, accurate throws to bases. Solid glove with choppy footwork and fielding mechanics. Also took reps in the infield, plays stiff, and could improve flexibility. Lit up the radar tossing it 90mph across the diamond. Right-handed pitcher, starts with a side-rocker into a drop and drive lower half, explodes down the mound. Very fast arm with a hitch in his arm circle comes from straight over the top. Fastball was up to 85mph, sitting between 81-85mph. Right-handed hitter, starts slightly bent at the knees with high hands and a high back elbow. Long swing but it able to get the barrel out on the ball. Had a tendency to overrotate his lower half. Strong kid with pop to the pull side. Named to 2021 Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
