Ryan Luther is a 2020 2B/MIF, OF with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Solana Beach, CA who attends Santa Fe Christian Schools. Medium frame with a lean build. Projects for additional strength with continued physical development. Primary second baseman with aggressive footwork while traveling to and working through the baseball. Funnels from a slightly deeper position and works through transfer with smooth paced, clean exchanges. Generated some carry across the infield at release topping at 63 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an even, balanced stance and high back elbow set. Shifts into contact with linear actions. Loose hand path to contact with a level, line drive plane through extension. Looked to connect with baseball out front while employing a mid field approach. Showed some feel for the barrel that will continue to develop with strength. Excellent student as well.
