Dawson Goad is a 2027 RHP/1B, 3B, SS, OF with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Marion. He has a tall frame for his age with a slender build with tons of room to add strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.57 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher that utilizes a knee above belt leg kick and drop and drive back leg mechanics. He does a nice job of working in line with the plate. He has a longer arm action and fires from a high 3/4 slot. He is quick out of the stretch, limiting the ability of base runners to try and steal bases. He utilizes a two seam and a four seam fastball, generating some run on the two seamer. He works a curveball off his fastballs that has loose shape with tons of depth. Secondary outfielder that attacks the ball and fields it out in front of his body with two hands. He has a longer arm action and showed nice looseness in his shoulder. Also worked out on the infield, sitting back on balls and getting his glove down late. Right-handed hitter that starts in a wide base and uses a simple stride for timing. He has a rotational swing and lets the ball travel into the hitting zone.
