Colby Martin is a 2020 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-7 160 lb. frame from Livermore, CA who attends Granada. Medium frame with a strong and stocky build. Ran a 7.40 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Slow and deliberate close to the baseball with clean and smooth paced exchanges. Works through a three-quarter release. Creates carry to the bag with arm speed and developing accuracy topping out at 83 MPH. Lefthanded hitter with an upright and slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Deeper hand load with some coil generating hand quickness through the zone. Line drive approach repeating actions well with a middle of the field approach. Secondary lefthanded pitcher with a small side step delivery to belt high leg lift. Short stride out landing in line with the plate and into finish. Compact arm action in the back into a mid three-quarter slot. Creates short tail on the fastball topping out at 79 MPH. Works mostly up in the zone.
