Patrick Niehus is a 2024 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Anna Maria, FL who attends IMG Academy. Large frame with good present strength. Ran a 7.30 second 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, moves well for the physicality, plays back on it some but fields it and funnels it well out front, good internal clock and shows good feel to move into throws with good arm strength across. Actions play well at first base, clean footwork and moves athletically around bag, arm strength plays there as well. Righthanded hitter, wide base and swings it hard, has some length through the zone but good strength and intent behind it, explodes through getting uncoiled and creates good backspin with length through impact. Translated well to game action as he sent a long home run to straightaway centerfield. Good student. Named to 2022 Sunshine Texas Showcase Top Prospect List.
