Zack Simmons is a 2026 SS/RHP, C, OF with a 5-11 163 lb. frame from McDonough, GA who attends Piedmont Academy. Large frame. In the infield, he gets to the fielding point on time with a bend at the waist to get the glove down, secured each play cleanly with signs of quality carrying accuracy across the diamond. In the outfield, he works through the ball well, fields it out front with clean exchanges into a loose fluid arm action that create solid carry. Behind the plate, he sets up with staggered crouch, stands straight up post reception but shows quick feet and exchange to get it out on time. 1.96 pop time. At the plate, he sets up with a narrow stance and calm pre pitch approach. He works into a subtle hovering trigger. There's healthy loft in the stroke with advanced feel to get it on the barrel through the middle of the yard. He could benefit from some added strength. On the mound, works with repeatable delivery, medium arm stroke ,and release from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball displays slight arm side run at time with quality command of the offering. Breaking ball was pretty generic but feature healthy shape and average feel to spin it. Fastball command helped guide him to a bunch of weak contact throughout the brief outing. 7.03 60-yard. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
