Anthony Rios is a 2021 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-0 172 lb. frame from Keller, TX who attends International Leadership of Texas Keller. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance, aggressive hitter who is attacking from the first pitch, uses his hips and lower half well in his swing, swings hard and creates bat speed, busy hand load but was generally on time, stays on top of the ball and makes consistent hard line drive contact. 7.15 runner, gets out of the box well and will beat out some infield hits. Plays both outfield and infield, looked more comfortable and athletic in the infield, primary third baseman but actions might fit best at second base, gets rid of the ball quickly and has good footwork side to side. Also pitched, high 3/4's to over the top release with some upper body lean to let his arm through on his fastball, fastball topped out at 80 mph with good command. Dropped his slot significantly to tip a short breaking slider. Bat is his present tool. Good student.
