Matthew Schwarz is a 2019 SS/2B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Greenacres, WA who attends Central Valley. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.03 seconds. Sets up to hit from even-based stance, small leg lift trigger with small hand bar into load, rotational lower half mechanics with minimal shift into contact, compact hand path on line drive plane, shows ability to work to all fields. Worked out in the infield, moves well to ball with sound footwork, transfers clean and shows quickness to release, clocked up to 77 mph across the diamond. Very good student.
