Austin Oswald is a 2019 SS/2B, OF, RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends V.J. And Angela Skutt Catholic. Large, long frame with lean build; good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.24 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with quiet set up, leg lift trigger, doesn't fully shift off backside, pull-side approach with aggressive swings, flashes bat speed and wants to get the ball in the air, some pop to pull side. Worked out in the infield, shows good hands, controls body well, moves well to glove side, good accuracy on throws clocked up to 77 mph. Easy effort delivery on the mound, stays online and balanced, compact arm stroke to high three quarters slot with good extension, fastball worked 78-80 mph. Good plane to plate, also worked in curveball 11/5 shape and some depth; slider is tighter with sharp drop. Good control. Very good student.
