Ben Vazquez is a 2021 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Gaither. Large to Extra-Large frame with sturdy build that is starting to fill out. Ran a 7.38 second sixty yard dash. Primary Firstbaseman, sitting back on the baseball making sure he stays behind it. Gathers the baseball to the side and then works into a quick transfer. Whippy arm as he threw it with carry across the diamond at 79 MPH. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working exclusively from the stretch as he works into a belt high leg lift and drive. Drop and drive type mechanics as he finished downhill. Longer arm action in the back before releasing from a low three-quarter arm slot. Fastball flashed some arm side run while running it up to 82 MPH. Also flashed a good changeup in the upper-70's that had late life. Right-Handed Hitter, starting from an even stance with deep hands and a vertical bat. Fluid swings as he gets the bat head out front with intent. Proved he could spray the baseball to all fields on a line. Good Student.
