2022 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Mercer Hudson is a 2025 C/RHP, OF with a 6-1 191 lb. frame from Midland, GA who attends Brookstone. Large frame with physical, strong build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.20 seconds. Hits from balanced stance, stays compact through launch and turns the barrel tight, gets on clean path with rotational bat speed and good strength off the barrel, showed good power especially to the pull-side in this event. Worked out behind the plate, moves well and shows lateral agility, developing receiving skills, quick release with explosion in lower half out of crouch, solid arm strength with accurate throws, good defensive projection behind the plate. Very good student, committed to South Carolina. Named to 2022 Main Event Top Prospect List.
