Brody Brantley is a 2027 C/RHP, MIF, OF with a 5-2 125 lb. frame from Punta Gorda, FL. Young, square shouldered frame with some present strength, will continue to develop physically moving forward. Ran an 8.97 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower and tight set behind the plate, gets the ball out of glove quickly, long stride moving into release and repeats actions with a short arm action, arm strength will continue to develop. Fields the ball out front in the infield, similar short arm action, takes short steps moving towards the ball, worked around the bag with throws. Also pitched, side step moving into a higher leg lift with a medium arm circle in the back; worked around the plate and pitched to contact, repeats delivery with a higher slot, fastball topped out at 63 mph and flashed a curveball at 52 mph. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow with a closed stance; utilizes a short leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Short stride moving into contact, looks to lift at point of contact with plane, can work the ball around to all fields, bat speed will continue to develop with strength, repeats swing.
