Jaimen Albizu is a 2018 SS with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Cranston, RI who attends Bishop Hendricken HS. Medium build, athletic and projectable frame with some present strength proportioned well and still more room to fill. Ran a 6.84 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, fluid actions all around, hands could be softer playing ball at times, quick exchange from glove to hand, longer release at times taking multiple steps into throws but also showed ability to get rid of ball quickly, average arm strength with accuracy to the bag, topped out at 76 mph across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, narrow base with an even stance, high hand set with a very high back elbow, leg lift trigger, bat wrap at load, longer hand path generating some bat speed, swings with intent, could work on staying on plane more consistently, would like to see added strength for more pop off of the barrel, mostly line drive contact, tools are there just needs some minor adjustments to swing.
