Andy Kornacki is a 2018 RHP/ with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Sussex, WI who attends Hamilton. Large frame broad shoulders, long limbs and wiry strength. Frame projects for additional strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple rock step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side at balance and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Lands in line and works over front side well. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball flashed natural cut to glove side with occasional sink in the mid 70's to low 80's, topped at 81 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with loose spin and good depth in the mid 60's. Tends to slow arm speed slightly with breaking ball offering. Changeup showed good arm side run with some sink in the mid 60's. Looked to worked ahead of hitters with fastball early in counts before change speeds. Consistently worked down in the zone induced weak contact throughout each inning of work. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and quick front side trigger. Loose path to baseball with a level, line drive plane through extension. Primarily looked to work the ball to the middle of the field with a high contact approach. Flashed some jumped when creating separation and working to contact out front. Good student as well.
