Maximillian Liao is a 2022 OF/MIF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from East Stroudsburg, PA who attends East Stroudsburg South. Liao works out of a young lean build with room to add strength. From the outfield, Liao attacked the ball with intent with sound footwork. Cleaning up the arm mechanics in both the outfield and infield will yield greater velocity in the future. On the mound, Liao successfully drove off the back foot with good downhill movement. He featured a looping 11-5 curveball to complement the fastball. Offensively, Liao flashed quick hands with solid pull side contact from an open stance. He showcased consistency in his swing and had good carry on the ball with backspin. Ran a 7.15 60 yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
