Eddil Zayas is a 2022 RHP/2B, OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Coamo, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Recorded a 7.62 second 60-yard dash time. Thin build with lots of room to fill out and add strength. Primary righthanded pitcher with a side step into a leg lift at the belt. Tight three-quarters arm slot and the fastball has some arm side run and sink. Deceptive delivery with moving parts and fills up the zone nicely. Works quickly and has good feel for the arm side of the plate. Fastball topped out at 74 mph and showed good cutting action at times. Breaking ball showed 11/5 shape and could be landed for strikes. Righthanded hitter with a slightly open stance, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Downhill swing plane with a big bat wrap to start. Inward toe tap into the stride with a contact oriented approach. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
