Farid Eljaiek is a 2020 OF/2B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Saint Johns, FL who attends Creekside. Showed good speed and athleticism, running a 6.86 second sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with a medium frame that has room to fill out and add strength. Stays back on the ball at times defensively, receiving off the front foot with a quick transition to throw. Shows some projection with fast-twitch actions, has developing arm strength, making accurate throws to bases at 81 miles per hour. Has a balanced stance from the right side of the plate, using a simple, middle of the field approach to hit line drives consistently. Shows present bat speed, getting on plane quickly and repeating the swing mechanics well. Good student.
