Joey LaScala is a 2025 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Merrick, NY who attends Holy Trinity High School. Long and lean young build with lots of projection remaining. Pitches from a semi-stretch delivery with a slow and deliberate pace, compact arm stroke with a 3/4's slot, opens up his front side early and strides open. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, mostly straight. Threw a soft curveball without full arm speed as his secondary pitch. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow slightly open stance, casts his hands out to start his swing, lifting swing, early front side pulls the barrel through. Good student.
