Tyler Ehlinger is a 2021 2B/RHP/IF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Manvel, TX who attends Lutheran South Academy. Medium athletic build. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open bent knee stance, has quick hands and is looking to get out front and pull the ball, pretty short and direct to contact, limited lower half shift into contact, showed his hand quickness in the game turning on an inside fastball and putting it off the left field fence. 7.40 runner in the sixty. Moves well side to side in the infield on defense, smooth exchange with some arm strength especially for second base, has the ability to change arm angles. Took a turn on the mound, slow paced delivery with pretty simple turn and throw mechanics. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, mostly straight. Tended to slow his body down on his curveball but was able to land it for strikes with some depth. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
