Tanner Schaedel is a 2024 RHP/IF/OF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Cape Henry Collegiate School. Tall and slender build for a freshman with plenty of time and room to get stronger. Works from the stretch with a low hand set start, high leg lift start, some backside collapse into his move to the plate takes away leverage and angle to his pitches, 3/4's arm slot. Steady mid-70's fastball, topped out at 77 mph, mostly straight. Tends to drop his elbow on a soft curveball. 7.27 runner in the sixty. Showed his arm strength very well from the outfield and stay on top of the ball more effectively than he did on the mound. Also plays the infield with third base actions and tools. Right handed hitter, has sound hitting mechanics with a easy lower half shift into contact and a fluid swing, hits balanced and under control with some young bat speed, has potential to develop as a hitter. Graded out higher at this showcase as an outfielder than as a primary pitcher. Excellent student.
