Chase Maddox is a 2023 1B/RHP with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Kansas City, MO who attends Staley. Bigger physical frame. Ran a 7.33 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman with clean fundamental footwork, moving well around the bag, shows softer hands fielding out front and funneling to the waist, clean transition to throw with consistently accurate feeds to bases and well above average arm strength. Hit from a slightly open stance at the plate with toe tap timing. Strength based swing that stays compact through the zone with a level bat path. Can impact the baseball gap to gap. Was fastball/curveball on the mound with a low 80's fastball that showed both cutting and sinking action, and a swing and a miss 12-6 breaking ball with spin rates consistently above 2300 RPM. Named to Sunshine Central Top Prospect List. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
