Connor Lust is a 2019 C/IF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Harpster, OH who attends Ridgedale. Medium frame with a lean build. Projects for additional strength. Primary catcher with a slightly side set stance with soft hands while receiving the baseball. Utilized quick footwork while gaining ground towards the bag. Clean, compact exchanges and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced some on line carry to the bag topping at 71 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.12. Right handed hitter with a narrow, slightly crouched stance and reaching front side trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Direct path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Showed good feel for the barrel with the ability to stay behind contact. Consistently squared up contact while working to the middle of the field between the gaps. Excellent student as well.
