Jorge Galarza is a 2019 C/3B/SS with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Juana Diaz, PR who attends Puerto Rico BB Academy. Medium frame with a physical build and room to add. Ran a 7.40 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Sets up in a higher stance. Has some catch and release skills with a quick release. Accurate to the bag with some carry topping out at 74 miles per hour and popping a 1.95 in workouts. Also worked out from the infield. Better arm strength across with stronger carry. Glove skills are clean and mechanics are fundamentally sound. Righthanded hitter with an open stance and a wrapped start. Short path to contact. Middle of the field to the opposite field approach.
