John Papagni is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends Monsignor Farrell. Large frame with a lean build showing long levers. Room to fill out physically making him projectable. Ran a 7.38 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side-step to a higher lift out of the windup as he turns at the top. Strides out as he flashes a full arm circle before releasing from a higher slot. Stays online with the lower half as he releases slightly closed off with the front side creating natural deception. Fastball up to 79 mph and mixed in a breaking ball showing slurvy actions. Secondary Outfielder, working aggressively into the baseball as he slows down to make sure of a clean gather. Longer arm action and then releases from a lower slot. Young actions showing as he threw it 75 mph. Right-Handed Hitter, starting balanced as he works into separation. Looks to generate bat speed with the hands as he throws the barrel into the zone. Lets the baseball get deep and drives it the other way. Outstanding Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
