Ethan Hope is a 2020 SS/OF with a 5-7 132 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends Sage Creek. Hope has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he showed developing actions on the infield and made accurate throws. He showed arm strength up to 75 MPH and some smoothness to his arm stroke. Hope has a deeper funnel when fielding with clean transfers. At the plate Hope starts with a square stance with a wide base. He uses a late leg lift trigger and has some barrel wrap at load. He has a loose path to the baseball with some lift to it. Hope shows some intent with his swing and looks to do some damage. He made solid contact to the middle of the field to opposite field and flashed some bat speed. Hope has a solid approach and will really benefit from added strength and growth. Excellent student.
