Perry Hargett is a 2024 SS/2B with a 6-0 187 lb. frame from Peachland, NC who attends Metrolina Christian Academy. medium height with an athletic and lean frame and lots of room to fill out. Ran a 6.29 in the sixty yard dash. A primary shortstop, really quick feet that lead to excellent range to both sides. Clean actions and transfer very quickly with the ability to throw from different arm angles. Polished defender with huge upside. Also worked out in the outfield where he showed middle of the field athleticism. A right-handed hitter, gets the the front side and launches with very quick hands. Keeps the hands in and can back spin line drives to both gaps. Power upside but the bat to ball stands out and he can absolutely disrupt on the base paths. Outstanding student. Commit to North Carolina.
