Joseph Helmsderfer is a 2023 2B/OF/C with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Newport News, VA who attends Menchville. Small and slender build with lots of physical development ahead of him. Ran a 7.34 second 60 yard dash. Primary second baseman has a smooth and easy glove with a quick release with accurate throws as he is developing arm strength. Right handed hitter slightly open stance with high hands and works the ball up the middle with developing barrel control and bat speed. Taking fly balls in the outfield, Helmsderfer has a good first step on the ball with a quick release and a good line to the bases. Good student.
