William Zhu is a 2023 SS/IF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Jericho, NY who attends Jericho Senior. Zhu works out of a younger build with plenty of room to add strength and fill out in the future. Working exclusively from his primary IF spot, he displayed a quick internal clock with bounce in the step and solid lateral range. The arm action was clean across the diamond with arm strength continuing to develop up to 68 mph. On the offensive end, Zhu showcased smoothness to the stroke with a direct path through the zone to generate some carry on the baseball. He started from a narrower slightly open stance with feel for the barrel, posting an exit velocity of 79 mph. Ran a 8.00 sixty yard dash. Good student.
