Luke Hyche is a 2022 RHP/3B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Leeds, AL who attends Bessemer Academy. Large frame with a filling out build showing broad shoulders and physical strength throughout. Ran a 7.88 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side-step to a higher leg lift. Drops and drives as he stays direct to dish. Higher slot release as he goes right after hitters. Fastball up to 84 mph as he flashed some cut to it at times. Also mixed in a sharp slider with bite to it in the low-70's. Proved he could get outs and was confident in his arsenal on the bump. Secondary Third Baseman, quick first step as he worked under control into the baseball. Gathers out front and takes extra steps into release to make sure of a clean transfer. Arm strength present as he threw it 82 mph across the diamond. Right-Handed Hitter, starting spread out with weight on back side. Works into a toe tap to stride. Hands sink into separation before working into a linear cut. Looks to pepper the middle of the field and proved he could do just that. Flashed some power when he got extended. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
