Jay Bant is a 2021 3B/RHP, 1B, 2B, SS with a 5-11 205 lb. frame from Wall Township, NJ who attends Wall. Recorded a 5.45 second 40-yd dash time. Strongly built frame with a thick lower half and athleticism. Primary third basemen with range to both sides , a clean funnel and good usage of lower half while throwing. Online and accurate throws from multiple arm slots, with throws recorded up to 82 mph in infielder drills. Showed similar agility and arm strength while receiving grounders at first base. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a simple, rhythmic delivery. Filled up the zone and showed ability to command both sides of the plate, while throwing from a loose three-quarters arm slot. Sequences pitches well, while keeping hitters off balance with short breaking ball that varied in shape. Sat low-80s in this look, topping out at 83 mph. Left-handed hitter with a relaxed approach and simple swing mechanics. Uses a leg lift trigger for timing, excellent lower half to produce a pull-side, lofted stroke. Present strength and well used lower half allow for strong impact through extension. Good Student. Verbal Commitment to Monmouth University.
