Devan Mitchum is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 5-7 160 lb. frame from Gainesville, FL who attends Santa Fe. The primary outfielder has a shorter athletic frame, who ran a 7.13 in the sixty yard dash. He showed short and quick steps in the outfield with a balanced approach through exchange. Stays low with a quick arm action and extension out front that helps the ball carry. The right-handed hitter starts with high hands, using a small stride and fires with quick hands and flat path. He has a line drive approach and looks to pull with intent. Devan also pitched and the right-hander has a clean delivery with some quickness to the shoulder and an over the top release. Gets good downhill plane and pounded the bottom of the zone with his fastball. He keeps his arm slot on a 12/6 curveball that he has feel to spin for strikes and some future projection to the pitch. He showed a 3-pitch mix with a straight changeup that had some deception with good hand speed. Athletic prospect with upside on both sides fo the ball.
