2021 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
James Ingle is a 2022 SS/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Hayden, AL who attends Sumiton Christian. Medium frame with athletic, physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.05 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with high hands and back elbow, leg lift trigger, simple swing with strength at impact when on time, gets inside-out with hands, can drive it pull-side. Worked out in the infield, stays low with funnel out front, extra steps into release, throws uphill a bit, clocked up to 83 mph. Also pitched and graded out best there, drops and drives with good lower half and directionality, full arm stroke to high 3/4 slot with good arm speed, fastball worked 82-84 mph with command to the edges and good plane, showed slider with good tilting bite. Excellent student.
