Joseph McLean is a 2024 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Canton, GA who attends Sequoyah. Tall frame with obvious strength in the lower half. Ran a 7.57 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, waits back on the ball, deep funnel, showed the ability to change slots and maintain the arm strength and accuracy. Under control operation with clean transfers and feeds the double play well. All the tools to stick at first base, throws up to 74 mph. Left-handed hitter, open stance, cuts the front side off a little bit, flat bat path through the zone, has some feel for the barrel. Strong player with jump off the barrel, showed the ability to hit the ball hard when in rhythm. Recorded an exit velocity of 86 mph.
