Gavyn Schlotterback is a 2024 C/1B, 3B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Lakeway, TX who attends Lake Travis. Long lean build. Primary backstop, clean footwork out of a slight side saddle set up. Quick exchanges to a from ear release, produces easy velocity with carrying accuracy down to the bag. 1.94 pop time. On the dirt, the arm stands out with looseness to the arm action. The glove work was sound both to th backhand and up the middle. At the plate, he sets up with even base and high hands. Drives the backside well but can tend to get a bit over rotational. Slight hovering leg kick. Bat path is lofted with approach that utilizes the whole field. On the mound, Stretch exclusive operation with decent extension down the plane. Gets on top of a mid 80’s fastball that was commanded well to all four quadrants of the zone. Had success often times by going up the ladder. Change up was very advanced with a ton of fade, most succesful against left handed bat but showed feel to go to right on right. Breaker showed healthy round 11-5 shape. 7.23 60-yard. Exceptional student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
