2022 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Kaleb Steiger is a 2025 SS/2B, 3B, OF with a 5-9 162 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Home School. Medium frame with lean muscularity and a lot of time for development. Good overall dexterity and quality foundation for overall skill set. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.54 seconds. Primary position IF, using good footwork and quick first step to get into his angles. Attacks plays and displayed solid glove work and a nice transfer leading to throws up to 83 mph across the diamond. Reps in the OF as well, again showing good first step, out front with the glove into a clean gather. Short arm stroke and reached 85 mph here. RHH working from a spread stance and high handset to start. Crouched stance, sinking into his legs as he moves to initiate swing. Turns hard in the midsection, with a pull oriented approach overall. Hands really work and he gets on plane early with a bit of loft. All the tools are here and the projection is intriguing. Young athlete, who is a very good student and uncommitted.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
