Jayce Schapiro is a 2021 OF/ with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Freehold, NJ who attends Freehold Twp. Small and young build with square shoulders and plenty of growing still to do with time to do so. Ran a 5.28 second 40 yard dash. Primary outfielder, runs to the ball quickly, could breakdown more at gather, short arm action with developing arm strength into throws, needs to get stronger for better velocity and improved outfield actions. Righthanded hitter, even stance, hands sit away from body in a medium starting position and a low back elbow, could utilize a weight shift into swing for added strength to contact and improved bat speed, barrel whips through zone nicely, flat path getting barrel to ball well, contact oriented approach, just needs to continue to get stronger and grow. Excellent student.
