Zachary Mandell is a 2023 SS/OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Delray Beach, FL who attends North Broward Prep. Projectable young athletic build. 6.98 runner in the sixty. Has good fundamentals in the infield on defense, fields the ball out front with fluid actions and soft hands, keeps his feet active and works around the ball, compact arm action with a quick release and some young arm strength, has the athleticism to stay in the middle infield. Also plays the outfield. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base, lays the barrel back to start his swing, gets to his front side early and tends to lose balance, full hand and arm extension in his swing, can do things to shorten his approach and use his natural athleticism better, mostly pull side contact. Good student.
