Kai Caranto is a 2023 2B/SS with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Castaic, CA who attends Harvard-Westlake. Smaller young athletic build. Primary second baseman on defense, has outstanding skills and tools for the position, very quick feet and really gets in position well, very fast release on his throws, has smooth and balanced actions and is always under control, will have the ability to make hard plays look easy at the next level. Right handed hitter, has a loose and full swing with quick hands driving his swing, very good extension out front, gets into his hips well to help generate bat speed, high average middle of the field approach. Very polished player who slows the game down and plays above his physical tools. Good student. Named to the PG Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List.
