JD Mettham is a 2020 C/1B, 3B with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Desert Vista. Medium frame with solid, physical present build; ran 60 yard dash in 8.01 seconds. Hits from upright stance with closed off set, leg lift trigger, consistent contact with strength off the barrel, gets barrel moving uphill, timing is consistent, relaxed approach with good contact skills. Worked out behind the plate, good low set, has some flex in hips, efficient movement patterns, simple step-replace out of crouch, quick transfer and release, good accuracy down to 2nd base, clocked up to 72 mph on throws. Excellent student.
