Daniel Desmond is a 2024 RHP/1B, 3B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Poly Prep Country Day. Medium, athletic frame with some strength present in his throughout build. Clocked an 8.26-second sixty-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, deliberate and controlled operation with a simple drop and drive lower half, remains on-line towards the plate. Longer arm action that drags behind body at times. Fastball showed some late arm side run, sitting low 70's, working it up to 74mph. Low effort operation that could improve with more controlled intent. Secondary corner infielder, bit limited with range and could benefit from increased flexibility and foot speed. Solid glove actions with accurate throws across the diamond, up to 71mph. Right-handed hitter, tall and narrow set up. Downhill swing plane that can get long and remains on one plain through zone. Worked pull side to up the middle, flashing some power when barrels ball up. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
