Cole Calhoun is a 2020 C/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Fountain Hills, AZ who attends Desert Mountain. Large frame with solid, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.37 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with small leg lift trigger, hip tends to leak out early through swing, wrists release in load, line drive swing plane, covers the plate well, shows whole-field approach, incorporates lower half, showed good contact skills in game action. Worked out behind the plate, receives well, stands straight up into throwdown mechanics, shuffles into release, clocked up to 73 mph down to 2nd base. Very good student.
